Meet the fantastic team of trainers who will help you take your dance to the next level.
Ruben Sanchez started dancing at the age of 6 where he studied Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Ballroom. Ruben has taught at many international dance festivals such as The Odessa Tap Festival, Tap United, Tap ON Barcelona, Paris Tap Festival and Taptastic just to name a few. Ruben has also made appearances in performances by companies such as Camut Band, Tapeplas, 4 Rhythm and Cambuyon among many others.
More recently, he is soloist Tap Dancer at the Centre Coreographique National de Grenoble in France as well as a teacher at the Luthier Tap Dance Formation in Barcelona.
Ruben studied under Tap Masters such as Guillem Alonso, Jason Samuels Smith, Max Pollack, Josh Hillbermann, Dereck Grant, Ted Levi, Leela Petronio, Sharon Lavi and Barbara Duffy and he continues to share his knowledge by teaching all around the world.
Robynne Versfeld is an international award winning professional dancer who has achieved multiple awards and podium positions in various competitions worldwide. Robynne started dancing at the age of 3 and has been active in the professional dance industry since 2011. She has been a part of the South African Dance Team since 2003, where she has qualified to represent South Africa in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz and Showdance, collecting multiple World Champion titles in each style over the years. Later on, she was invited to perform at a highly prestigious and exclusive international gala event in 2015.
Having taught in and around Gauteng for several years, Robynne has decided to dedicate her time to nurturing and passing on her knowledge to the new generation of dancers and has thus taught at various dance workshops and dance awards around South Africa.
Carlo is based out of Vancouver, Canada where he is best known for his work directing TwoFourSeven Company (Canadian National Hip Hop Champions 2013-2016, Body Rock Champions 2017, World of Dance LA Champions 2018, The Release Adult Champions 2019).
As a choreographer, Carlo has a reputation of being an exceptional visual storyteller. His unique methods of staging and his willingness to tackle challenging concepts and themes are what continue to elevate his craft and set him apart from the rest. Carlo pulls inspiration from all realms of movement from hip hop to contemporary both new and old school. His ability to embody such a diverse vocabulary has proven to be a valuable asset in his artistry.
Carlo is now making moves in the commercial world where you can see much of his work in music videos and television. Most recently, his work has been featured on season 2 of NBC’s World of Dance, Season 1 of World of Dance Philippines, Disney’s Descendants, and world renowned pop group BTS. Taylor-Lee started Tap dancing at the age of 4 years and has not stopped!
He has been part of the South African Tap Dance Team since 2006 and has travelled to Riesa, Germany every year to compete in IDO Tap Dance World Championships, first in the Children, then Junior and finally the Adult sections. He received his Senior Protea colours for the first time in 2018 and again 2019 for Tap Dance.
In 2015 Taylor-Lee competed in the Dance World Cup in Romania and won the Adult Tap Solo section.
Taylor-Lee has been teaching Tap dancing full time at Red Robynne Studios since 2017 and also teaches at various other studios. He is currently busy with his Tap Teachers qualification and still takes part in competitive dancing.
Cape Town choreographer, Hope has been working as a choreographer for the past 6 years. He specialises in multiple styles such as Modern, Jazz, Musical Theatre & Hip Hop. He has danced and given workshops in over 29 Countries across Europe, Africa, New Zealand and Asia. Hope has choreographed and danced in Music Videos, Musicals, Live Performances, Movies, TV commercials & he has also choreographed and danced for 2 iconic ContoPop artists while he was in Hong Kong (KayTse & Shirley Kwan.) These live shows were stadium-size shows with audience numbers reaching over 30 000 people. His choreography can be seen in multiple international competitions. He currently holds 15 Gold Medals and 16 Silver medals in international dance competitions. In 2016 his choreography won 1st Place in the IDO Gala Event Best of the Best Competition in Graz, Austria. In 2017 & 2018 his Choreography won 1st Place at the Dancestar Gala Competition in Croatia. He also won 1st & 2nd Place at the 2017 Commonwealth International Gala Competition hosted in South Africa. He has been on numerous World Tours as a dancer in musicals such as Evita, Singin’ In The Rain, Annie and more. Hope has a big passion for training dancers in becoming versatile and always looks to push dancers to bring out their own personal best. He has a dance studio in Johannesburg called The Academy SA & he is the Artistic Director of a tertiary arts school called Hope School Of The Arts in Johannesburg.
Clarishca has been dancing for 19 years. She has competed on various competitive platforms with her top achievements being;
Clarishca is a teacher and choreographer and co-trainer of the SA representative formation team “Mob”.

Veronique has been training in dance since the age of 5 with ballet being her primary style in training. She trained in the ballet styles of Checetti as well as RAD and also trained in AIDT modern. She received the Mable Ryan award at 12 years old and was runner up to it at 13 years old. She studied both acting and dancing and has also had the opportunity to work professionally as an actress and dancer.
She has been training dancers for 10 years in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz and lyrical and has had the opportunity to create choreographic pieces for productions and workshops during the past 5 years. She has been adjudicating competitions for 5 years and finds so much joy in watching the new generation of dance remain dedicated and passionate in what they do. Adjudicating is a means of helping the new generation grow and improve as well as receive praise for their current hard work.
Veronique opened Fast Lane Dance Company that is currently in its second year of running. The main focus of the FLDC program is to teach dancers a healthy balance of being an athlete as well as an artist. Training dancers to reach new goals in dancing is the best feeling as a trainer and mentor.
